How did you find out about Tokushima University and why did you decide to enroll in Tokushima University?

How did you prepare for the entrance exam to Tokushima University?

I prepared the entrance exam myself according to advices of staffs of the department of Cardiovascular Medicine.

 

What kind of research did you do while you were enrolled at Tokushima University? Could you please share any difficulties you faced in your research? Also, when you had difficulties, how did you overcome them?

My research was about coronary artery disease. My PhD paper was “Gender disparities in the association between epicardial adipose tissue volume and coronary atherosclerosis: A 3-dimensional cardiac computed tomography imaging study in Japanese subjects” which was published in the Cardiovascular Diabetology journal. This research work was carried out collaboratively under the supervision of Professor Masataka Sata in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and Professor Michio Shimabukuro in the Department of Cardio-Diabetes Medicine. In addition, five papers were published in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, as a co-author.
I successfully carried out my research with guidance, recommendations, and support of my professor, supervisor and staff in the department. 

 

Please tell us about your memories of Tokushima and Tokushima University during your stay.

Studying at Tokushima University greatly contributed to my personal growth, teamwork skills, and development. It also positively impacted my family’s well-being and my children’s education.
I sincerely appreciate the kindness and generous support of the Japanese people, which has left us cherished lifelong memories.

 

What was your impression of Tokushima and Japan?

It created a positive impression, as it offered a conductive, safe, and well-structured environment for academic pursuits and a healthy lifestyle.
I am sincerely proud to have created a chapter of my life together with community  of Tokushima University.

 

To the extent that you don't mind, could you please share with us the details of your current job?

I am currently working as Associate Professor of Radiology Department, Mongolia Japan Hospital of the MNUMS. 
I served as the founding head of the Radiology Department at the Mongolia Japan Hospital. 
I worked as the Dean, School of Medicine, MNUMS during COVID-19 pandemic. 
Last three years, I had worked as a Head of Radiology Department, School of Medicine, MNUMS.
