On October 2nd, 2025, the 2025 Memorial Service for Laboratory Animals was held in the Otsuka Memorial University Auditorium. At the ceremony, all attendees, including faculty, staff, and students, observed a moment of silence. Afterward, Mr. Matsuki Hitoshi, Executive Vice President (Research), offered a memorial speech, praying for the repose of the souls of the laboratory animals and reaffirming that the development of medical science and life science research and education is built on the sacrifice of precious animal lives, and pledging to work sincerely on research and education. Following this, university officials and students in attendance offered flowers.
