Tokushima University International Office and the Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences jointly held the “TOEIC Preparation Seminar for Students Planning to Study Abroad” on April 21st, 2025. Mr. Hino Shota from the Institute for International Business Communication, the organization that administers the TOEIC, was invited as the lecturer, and he spoke about the characteristics of TOEIC, the content of the questions, how it can be used in companies, and how to study. Forty students attended the seminar. Students commented, "I was nervous because it was my first time taking the TOEIC, but it made me want to try my best," and "I got a good understanding of the TOEIC question format, its role, and how it can contribute to the future."
The seminar was held at ELCS, which stands for the English Learning Communication Space, on the Josanjima Campus. The ELCS is open daily and is a place where students can have free talks, play games, and study languages with international students. Tokushima University will continue to actively promote language learning and international understanding studies for students.
